Creating a Peergrade Assignment
This tutorial shows how to create a Peergrade Assignment
Peer review is basically having students give feedback to each other. The tool Peergrade is integrated in DTU Learn and is a convenient way to set up peer-review groups and organize peer reviewing in your course. Note: The Peergrade tool is an external 3rd party tool, and our options for internal support on using the tool is, therefore, very limited. We recommend you reach out to the folks at Peergrade in case you need further assistance using their tool.
Follow these steps:
- Go to the content of your course and select the module you want the Peergrade assignment to be a part of.
- Select Existing Activities and External Learning Tools.
- Select Peergrade - Course level.
- The Peergrade link is now visible in your content.
- You can change the name of the Peergrade link by clicking the small arrow and select Edit Properties In-place.
- Click the name, dates, or description to add or change these.
- To go to Peergrade.io and set up the actual assignment within Peergrade, click on the newly added Peergrade assignment
- Select Create assignment.
- Provide a title and a description for the assignment.
- You can attach files as well by dragging them onto the drop-off area.
- Click Next.
- In the next screen, you can change and add rubrics for the feedback. You can drag the rubrics around by click-dragging on the 8 small dots. You can also make new sections, new feedback questions, or add explanations. Click Next when you are done.
- You can choose between two types of templates or styles. The first has no deadlines, which brings more flow to the process, but can be more confusing for some students. We recommend this if you are working in-class with the peer reviewing. If it is a larger assignment meant for students to complete as homework outside of class, we recommend using the one with a deadline, where you can add start- and end dates for submissions and grading.
- Click Create Assignment.
- This brings you to an overview of the assignment.
- When the student have begun to hand in their assignment and start giving feedback, you can follow their progression here. Go to Results to see the specific feedback and grades.
