How do I make sure I receive notifications when my instructor posts new announcements in the course?
All new students receive email-notifications from course announcements.
If you for some reason do not, you can sign up to be notified via email about any new announcements in your course by turning on notifications in your profile on DTU Learn. To do this, log in to DTU Learn, click on your name in the top right corner. Click "Notifications". Check the boxes "Announcements - new announcement available" and "Announcements - announcement updated".
How can I change my email address to be my work email?
You can change your contact information by clicking your profile picture and then 'Profile'. Under 'Contact Information' you can change your Email address.
How can I follow a course that I do not want ECTS-points for?
You must contact the relevant course-responsible to get permission for this. The course-responsible will then enroll you as a "Student (no exam)" role, allowing you to access the DTU Learn course material.
How do I enroll in a group with self-enrollment?
If you are doing group work in your course, your instructor may ask you to enroll in a group. From your course page, click on the “Groups” tool from the navigation bar, and select "view available groups". Select the group in which you want to enroll.
How can I access DTU Learn on my mobile device? Is there an app for DTU Learn?
DTU Learn is mobile-friendly. Using a browser on your phone, you can easily view Content, access your Grades, and post discussion messages. DTU Learn can also be accessed via an app! Go to your phone's app store and search for "Brightspace Pulse".
Why can't I see my course?
If the teacher hasn't activated the course yet, you will not be able to access the course. The teacher will activate the course as soon as it is fully ready. If the course isn't activated by semester-start, please write an email to the relevant teacher.
Why do I get a 'Not authorised'-error?
If you click a link that goes to e.g. a course that you are not authorized to access, you will get a 'Not authorised'-error.
This can happen e.g. when using a DTU Learn link that links to a course you are not enrolled in. In this case, go back to the DTU Learn Homepage. Usually the easiest way is to use the DTU logo in the top-left corner.
