Course Setup Principles

To simplify the experience of DTU Learn for both teachers and students, we have outlined ten guiding principles.

The first two are general reminders of rules and legislation, while the remaining eight focus on course creation within DTU Learn.

General Reminders

8 Course Setup Principles

  1. Use the Announcements tool for important updates
  2. Place general course information in an easily accessible place
  3. Name all units and Topics in a systematic and informative way
  4. Link or embed all activities and materials to Content including a description of what the studets are expected to do and what they can expect to gain.
  5. Upload all your videos to Panopto-Guide
  6. When using self-enrolment groups in the course, remember to set an enrolment Expiry Date that is prior to the assignment Due Date.
  7. Consider enabling the anonymity setting, when using the Discussions or Polling tools.
  8. Provide feedback for the students directly within each activity tool.
    Only use the Grades tool after completing the self-study course.
