Remove Quiz Question after Quiz Completion

When quizzing students you might realize, after the students have completed the quiz, that one of your quiz questions contain an error or the question is out of the scope of the course.
Unfortunately there is no 'ignore this question from the scoring'-function in DTU Learn. Instead you have to do a work-around where you change the score of the question for all students to either 1 or 0. This will either lead to a small overscoring or a small underscoring respectively. The best option depends on both the number of questions as well as the importance of the question.

  1. Go to 'Quizzes'.

  2. Click the dropdown menu of the relevant quiz and then choose 'Grade'.

  3. Go to 'Questions'.

  4. Select 'Update all attempts' and then choose the question that contains an error.

  5. Choose 'Give to all attempts' and write either '1' or '0' in the box. Choose 'Save'.

Depending on the size of the course, it can be viable to correct the over/underscoring. However, in most cases the quiz is either not of importance for the final grade or the quiz contains many questions and so 1 question doesn't make or break the end result.

More information on how to correct the over/underscoring The below is an example of an adjustment of overscoring based on giving 1 point to all students for the question with an error:
